Why choose Econic Energy?

What Our Customers Say

Econic Energy fitted a heat pump into our new home as part of a major retrofit. They liaised with the builder, kept us in the loop at all times, explained everything to us during the handover, and delivered a great and efficient system.

Frequently asked questions
Heat pumps work in all types of housing stock, even older buildings with poor insulation. We design the heat pump system according to the insulation levels, heat-loss, and radiators of your home, to ensure the heat pump runs as efficiently as possible.
Most home owners in the UK are eligible for a grant of £7,500 from the government as part of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. All you need is to be a homeowner with a valid energy performance certificate (which we can provide for you). Econic Energy takes care of all the paperwork for the grant application.
Outside you need space for the heat pump unit (typically 1m x 1m x 0.5m) and room for good air flow around the heat pump. Inside the house, you need space for a hot water tank and control systems, which is similar to the space used by a traditional boiler and tank. Click here to view exact space requirements
Yes, a major renovation is the perfect opportunity to install a heat pump. We work alongside builders and architects to coordinate running underground pipework in the early stages of the renovation, and then return towards the end of the renovation to install the new hot water tank and outside unit.
In the vast majority of cases, no planning permission is required. Heat pumps usually fall under "permitted development" rules.
Modern heat pumps are designed to be quiet and unobtrusive. The outdoor unit typically makes a soft humming sound, around 40–60 decibels, which is similar to a fridge. When advising where to place the heat pump, we’ll take this into account to minimise noise for you or your neighbours.
